To The Person Struggling To Hold It Together, I See You.

September 4, 2019

To the person holding it together for their family.

To the person struggling silently but afraid of burdening other people with their problems.

To the person who doesn’t feel they can talk about their problems because ‘somebody else has it worse than me’.

I see you.

To the person who doesn’t know how to put into words how they are feeling, so they don’t bother trying.

To the person who doesn’t feel they can talk to their friend about their problems because their friend is going through something too so they feel like they have to be the strong one.

To the person who doesn’t want to get out of bed in the morning, but needs to make money to support their family.

To the person who doesn’t want to get out of bed in the morning, but needs to make money to pay their rent.

I see you.

To the person who cries every day but wipes away their tears and slaps on a smile for everyone else.

To the person who walks around with a heavy heart but plays the joker.

To the person who laughs with friends about their insecurities but is actually hurting inside.

I see you.

To the person who everyone says “you’re so inspirational, you’ve got everything together” to, but feels like the biggest fraud.

To the person who is afraid all the time, but pushes through every day so that they don’t become ruled by their fears.

To the person walking around feeling constantly suffocated, but still fights for every breath.

To the person who is constantly surrounded by people but feels like there is not one person they can talk to, so they just get on with it alone.

I see you. And your feelings are valid.

You are allowed to cry.

You are allowed to speak up.

You are allowed to admit that you are struggling.

You are allowed to ask for help even when other people around you are struggling too.

I see you and I appreciate you.

And if you ever need somebody to offload to. I am here.
