HI! welcome to Elisha blogs!

Hi, I’m Elisha! A twenty-something girl from Harrogate. Made in Yorkshire, influenced by everything the world has to offer.

I enjoy writing about Northern lifestyle and I love travelling! I am on a mission to find the fun in every-day life and have a specific passion for the theatre, fun days out, amazing food (especially brunch), spa days, writing (duh!), a little bit of fashion, dogs, and drinking cocktails. I hope you enjoy reading my blog!

Grief. It isn't something we talk about often; we Grief.
It isn't something we talk about often; we tend to deal with it in our own way behind closed doors. And during these isolated times, losing a loved one can be a process that you go through on your own.

At the start of this week, my sweet grandma passed away. She passed away in her own bed in her own house, listening to music she loved, with her son (my dad) by her side. I couldn't ask for a more bittersweet way for her to go, but the hurt of being unable to properly comfort my family and the idea of having a funeral for her without the celebration of her life that she deserves is heartwrenching.

I am so lucky to have friends who care about me enough to have sent me flowers, chocolates and pick-me-ups to my house during this difficult week, and they have made the sometimes long days on my own feel a little bit brighter. Those gestures of kindness and just knowing that someone is thinking of me from their isolated home is a blessing during this time, so thank you to my dear friends who have taken the time to do so.

All we can do is our best to be there for one another from afar right now, and I want to shout out particularly @lifewith.lynette @edleigh92 @ejghat and @williamcorrect for your love, support and hearts of gold this week. 🖤

How will you be spending your snow day?

I will be making the most of it, trying to find some joy and inspiration, between sledging like a kid and story writing. A perfect snow day. 🌨

I know that the struggles of 2020 don't magically dissappear at midnight but I do hope that you enter the New Year with more peace and hope for what the next year will bring. Remember to reflect on the positives of this year for yourself, as small as they might seem, and look forward to the never-ending possibilities in store. 🖤

Happy New Year everyone! And to 2020, I say 'Bye Felicia!'
Well it was fun while it lasted... 💫 Tier 3 tim Well it was fun while it lasted... 💫
Tier 3 time (not that I'm surprised, I was expecting it).

I'm so glad these past couple of days I got to eat out for the last time in a while and go on a magical winter wonderland walk through the enchanted forest at @stockeldpark

I'm not sure if Stockeld Park will still be able to remain open during Tier 3 (hopefully it will, because it is all outside) but if it is, this is such a cute festive walk to do as a little date or with children. Head over to my stories for a sneak peek!

Let's hope the weather stays dry so that we can explore more outside during these remaining winter months. Chin up everyone. We've got this 💪❤
